Privacy Notice

This notice explains what happens to your data on forgequest.app ("the Site") — an informational page about the upcoming ForgeQuest app. Short version: we collect only the email you choose to give us, and we don't track you.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by the makers of ForgeQuest ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email hello@forgequest.app.

2. What we collect

Only when you join the waitlist, and only what you submit:

• Your email address — the one you type into the form.
• A few technical details sent with it: the site language you used (en/uk), a timestamp, and your browser's user-agent string. We keep these solely to run the waitlist and prevent spam or abuse.

We do not collect your name, location, payment details, or any browsing/behavioural data. The Site has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.

3. Why we use it (and legal basis)

We use your email to send you updates about ForgeQuest — primarily a single notification when the app launches. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box and submitting the form. You can withdraw it anytime.

4. Who processes it

We rely on two service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare — hosts the Site and stores the waitlist database.
• Resend — delivers the confirmation and launch emails.

Your data may be stored or processed on their infrastructure outside your country (e.g. in the EU or US) under appropriate safeguards. We never sell, rent, or share your email for anyone else's marketing.

5. How long we keep it

Until ForgeQuest launches and we've emailed you, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. After that we delete your entry.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent, at any time. Just email hello@forgequest.app and we'll remove you from the waitlist. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

7. Cookies & local storage

The Site does not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

• Local storage: we use your browser's local storage only to remember your own choices — for example, that you dismissed the cookie banner. This stays on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else.
• Fonts: the Site loads Google Fonts to display its typography. As part of serving those font files, Google may receive your IP address (standard for any web font or CDN). We set no cookies for this and receive no data from it.

You can clear local storage anytime via your browser settings. Since we use only essential storage, the banner is informational — there's nothing to opt out of beyond clearing it yourself.

8. Children

The Site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this notice; the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
